Welcome to the Official website of Cornerstone Lodge No.
91, Free and Accepted Masons, Prince Hall Affiliated of Chicago, Illinois.
Cornerstone Lodge No. 91 is a subordinate lodge of the
Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of the
State of Illinois and Jurisdiction. Since October 9, 1919 Cornerstone has
served as the best "little" lodge on this side of the city of
Chicago. With a steady membership of men of high quality and moral standards, Cornerstone
has held true in its efforts over the years to fulfill the true purpose of
masons which is making men better through faith, hope and charity.
Over the years many have asked what Freemasonry is all
about. That's not a surprising question. The answer is simple. A Mason (or
Freemason) is a member of a fraternity known as Freemasonry which is simply a
group of men who join together because there are things they want to do in the
world, there are things they want to do "inside their own minds" and
they enjoy the fellowship with men of like-character whom they respect.
A Mason is a man who has decided that he likes to feel
good about himself and others. He cares about the future as well as the past,
and does what he can, both alone and with others, to make the future good for
everyone. This is the commitment that
all Masons have pledged to support and one that we at Cornerstone
wholeheartedly submit ourselves to perform.
